Angela Gomm
Angela has always had a love for expressing herself through dance. She began studying Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop at a young age. Angela developed an interest in flamenco after seeing local performances. In 2005, Angela began taking classes at Centro Flamenco and in 2007 was invited to join the Professional Training Program, for which she is still a member. Angela is grateful to Rosario Ancer and Victor Kolstee for sharing their knowledge of flamenco and for the community-based performances that she has had the opportunity to be involved in.
Over the last few years Angela has also studied under a number of other well-known flamenco artists, including: Myriam Allard, Claire Marchand, Marien Luevano, Fiona Malena, Maria Osende and internationally acclaimed, Miguel Angel and Isabel Bayon.
Angela graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Professional Teaching degree in 2008. As a new member of the faculty, she hopes to ignite the passion for flamenco in others.
