Marek Wojtaszek
Marek Wojtaszek, flamenco guitarist, is currently studying under Victor Kolstee at Centro Flamenco in Vancouver. Marek also has had the opportunity to study and perform with other influential flamenco figures such as Rosario Ancer, Manuel Lozano “El Carbonero”, Jesus Montoya and Sabas Santos. Since 2003, Marek is a regular accompanist at Centro Flamenco and at Anna Wyman School of Dance Arts, and has also accompanied for Al Mosaico Flamenco Dance Academy, Arts Umbrella, and Flamenco Del Mar.
Marek performs on regular basis at various artistic and cultural events with recent notable accomplishments including his appearance at Flamenco Rosario’s production of Flamenco Ayer y Hoy and his scheduled performance at the 2007 Vancouver Flamenco Festival presentation of The Music of Flamenco at the Jazz Cellar. Marek also performs on regular basis with his group, La Triana, at La Zuppa restaurant in North Vancouver.
